The RBF workshops are the foundation to RBF Qualification, although practitioners are not required to seek RBF Qualification to attend the workshops. The three-part workshop series is based on the RBF models, tools, and principals outlined in “RBF Book One: Foundation Skills” and “RBF Book Two: Advanced Skills,” by Jolie Bain Pillsbury, and includes the components as listed below. These books may be purchased from Amazon. RBF 401 is not a workshop, but RBF coaching and feedback to move from RBF Qualified Practitioner to Advanced RBF Practitioner.

In addition to the workshops designed to support RBF Qualification, there is an Introductory Workshop and "RBF: Introduction" book, also available on Amazon, that provides an overview of and introduction to the RBF approach.

RBF 101

  • Completion of an initial IDP and skill assessment using the version on the RBL-APPS website, (www.rbl-apps.com)
  • Introduction and practice of the Foundation Skills
  • Feedback on the use of Foundation Skills
  • Interrupt coaching provided during the enactments
  • Initial introduction to Advanced Skills
  • Practice plan to enhance skills and apply RBF methods between RBF 101 and RBF 201

RBF 201

  • Review of Foundation Skills and full exploration of Advanced Skills
  • Review of IDP progress, coaching on skills, feedback on skill level
  • Interrupt coaching provided during the enactments
  • Opportunity to take the RBF theory exam
  • Preparation for designing and implementing results based meeting that will provide documentation for qualification
  • Practice plan to continue skill development and apply skills in preparation for RBF 301

RBF 301

  • Completion of an updated IDP using the version on the RBL-APPS website, (www.rbl-apps.com)
  • Practice of Foundation and Advanced Skills
  • Application of RBF skills to the design and facilitation of more complex meetings and more difficult meeting results
  • Feedback for participants on their use of RBF Skills during an enactment
  • Interrupt coaching provided during the enactments
  • Practice plan to continue skill development
  • Opportunity to take the RBF Theory exam, if desired
  • Opportunity to achieve qualification status during the workshop if all criteria are met (and if qualification is desired)
  • Option to be assigned to an RBF coach if practitioner achieves RBF Qualification during this workshop and desires to pursue Coach Qualification through RBF 401

RBF 401

  • Completion of an updated IDP using the version on the RBL-APPS website, (www.rbl-apps.com)
  • Co-facilitate 3-6 meetings with an RBF Coach
  • Receive feedback from Coach on skills, development, and areas to strengthen after each of the 3-6 meetings
  • Meet other requirements as listed above, including use of data and authoring written contribution to practice development
  • Make agreements to serve as second reviewer
  • Coach will complete review sheet certifying candidate’s completion of 401, as appropriate, and standing as RBF Coach
